Rocaberry Farm 2008

Yesterday we took the kids to Rocaberry farm for our annual pumpkin patch visit. We had a lot of fun despite the little gnats flying around us and caking our shirts, YUCK! We also had another mishap when the tractor carrying our hayrack broke down in the middle of the pumpkin patch. Oh well. Its a good thing we went on Saturday because today was soooooo windy and cold!

My toothless fairy

On October 23rd the inevitable happened, Katelyn lost her 1st tooth! She was oh so excited when the tooth fairy left her a dollar and let her keep her tooth!

Picnics and Pumpkins

Ryan worked late one night last week and then went to a movie (a well deserved treat to himself) so the kids and I decided to have a picnic in the living room. What started out as an argument over who got to sit on the spinning bar stool turned into a fun-filled picnic. We made dinner and watched "The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." Ahhhh, memories!

3 Eyed Monster

This is what happens when you mix a 3 year old monkey, a tall kitchen chair, and a bowl of skittles on a kitchen island. Cooper reached for the skittles, slid forward, and smacked his head on the edge of the island countertop. Within five minutes this is what his head looked like. Now if only this lump would stay there until November I wouldn't have to buy a halloween costume for the little guy! Pretty scary goose-egg huh?!

I also have to share one of my new favorite things. At bedtime when I lay Katelyn down we talk about the worst/best part of her day. It is so funny to hear what she has to say. But what I love even more is bedtime prayers. She prays for the sweetest things. Tonight she said "Dear God, please make Antonia's broken arm all better and please help us to help her do things like lift her lunch tray, hold her pencil, and pick stuff up." She often thanks God for sunny days, her teachers/coaches, her friends, her furry pets, and music. Too cute for words. On top of her sweet prayers I have enjoyed hearing things from Cooper's little lips that I have no idea where he has heard them before. Examples include "check out my really awesome monkeys mom" and "this is really cool!" Where do kids get this stuff?

Lost in Fun!

I took the kids to Lost in Fun a couple of weeks ago. For those of you that don't know it is an indoor playground for kids here in Lincoln. Its very nice, clean, and has a variety of activities for the kids to do. We were there for about 3 hours and had to practically drag the kids out. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

She loves her soccer ball!!!

Katelyn has been playing soccer this fall for the last several Sundays with the YMCA. Her team is called Avalanche. They have practices on Wednesdays as well. Katelyn really enjoys soccer however Sunday afternoons she is pretty pooped from her busy week and tends to get a little distracted which you may notice in some of the pictures. Its really fun to watch the girls even though I really don't know the rules of soccer yet and am a bit clueless. There are also pics in the album from a church picnic we went to with my parents and family. It was out in the country at a church members home. The food was AWESOME!! Thanks Mom for the invite!
