Family fun- EQ style!

Family fun-EQ style!

Well after a very stressful day yesterday we had a lot of family time today. I'll start with my mortifying experience going out to lunch with Lisa and Carter. Lisa and I planned to go to lunch at Grandmothers which I will never attempt with my children again. It started out ok until Cooper choked on a chicken strip and proceeded to vomit all over himself and the booth bench. It took a while for them to take our orders and quite awhile for them to get our food. Cooper got a bit antsy and decided to get out of the booth. I was ok with him standing next to the table but then he started walking back and forth across the narrow walkway where the waitresses walk back and forth. I decided it was time to get our coats on and get out but our waitress had not brought our bills to us. This is when the worst of the worst happened. Cooper started to throw a fit while I was holding him and threw his head back smacking right in to the temple of an old lady walking by. Let me just say, I felt awful. She got hit very, very hard. To top it off I apologized and felt horrible to which she was not very receptive of. I really hope that her rudeness was out of disorientation but I suspect that she is not a child-lover. Or if she was, she probably isn't anymore. I felt like the entire restaurant was staring me down as we left and will probably never show my face there again. I'm expecting the law suit papers to arrive in the mail any day now. Oh and lets not forget the horrible experience I had taking Cooper to get his haircut earlier that morning. I took him to a "kids haircut" place which I won't name out of the goodness of my heart (and I don't want a second lawsuit for slander). Let me tell you for being a place that specializes in childrens haircuts I was shocked to see that the women there have no clue how to talk to or deal with a 2 year old. They were rude and frustrated that Cooper does not like getting his haircut. They thought they could just put a movie in and he would just sit there and cooperate, HA! Maybe someone should teach them how to communicate with a child using their mouths instead of a remote control. Horrible! I will never go there again. Not to mention they charged $12 for a haircut. Anyway moving on to better days. Today we took the kids to the library and dare I say out to eat (a much more pleasant experience than yesterday). We all took a nap and played together in the basement. Ryan taught Katelyn to play Everquest and they sat and played together for a while. She is just like her Daddy entranced by walking around aimlessly in a world of animated characters. It was cute to see her with the little headset on playing with Daddy. Ryan then scared the bezeezes out of me when I came out of the bathroom looking for him. He was hiding in the kids' play tunnel peaking out the top. I looked straight at it twice and didn't see him. The third time I jumped about six feet in the air when I saw his head peeping out the top right in front of me. The kids thought it was hilarious so I jumped in as well for a photo op! Well, that was our day and that should catch you up on the going ons with our family! Have a great week!
