Messiahs Backyard Bash

We had a great time at the annual Backyard Bash at Messiah this last fall. The outdoor classroom has grown so much in the last year. Katelyn and her friend Hadley donated their birthday money to the outdoor classroom last year and Mrs. Thimijan was nice enough to order a bench on their behalf. She had their names engraved on the bench so they will always remember their birthday donation! It was so thoughtful and the girls were so excited to see it.

Martins Hillside Apple Orchard

I chaperoned a Kindergarten field trip to Martins Hillside Apple Orchard. I didn't even know this place existed. It was super fun and I highly recommend adding it to you fall list of activites each year!

Here ducky, ducky...

On a nice fall day in September we took a trip over to Holmes Lake to feed the ducks with some friends. The kids had fun chasing the ducks around until the ducks decided to chase them instead.

Who you gonna call??

GHOSTBUSTERS!! Yep, thats right! This is the theme Cooper picked for his 6th birthday party. He is obsessed with the ghostbusters. He had a great time celebrating his birthday with friends and family!

Coopers 6th Birthday

On Coopers actual birthday we had a scavenger hunt for him leading him to his birthday gift- A new Nintendo dsiXL which he lost 2 weeks later. GRRRR! He has since received another one for Christmas along with a very strict set of rules as to where he can take it! Little booger head! We went out to eat at Red Robin for his birthday dinner where Katelyn enjoyed his free birthday dessert. He absolutely refuses to eat ice cream! Sometimes I wonder if he really is my child :)

Airshow with Daddy-Sept. 2011

Sept. 2011 Playground BooBoo!

This is what happens when boy faceplants on playground equipment at school. The crazy part of the story is that he never told his teachers that he fell and all of the sudden hours after recess his lip started to swell. His teachers initially thought he was having an allergic reaction to a food he ate. It was only upon picking him up from school that I was able to get out of him that he fell on the playground and was too embarrased to tell his teachers. Poor kiddo looked like Howard the Duck for about 3 days :(
