Kids Bowl free
We have been taking advantage of the kids bowl free program this summer at Sun Valley Lanes. We have been there several times and the kids keep getting better and better. Its quite the drive all the way out there but its such a nice bowling alley and sooo family friendly. We plan to go several more times this summer :)
Mini golf
Our kids L-O-V-E to mini golf! It might just be their favorite activity to do as a family. We picked a not so hot not and hit the nearby course! Katelyn thought she was beating me because her score was higher. I had to break the news that the idea is to have the lowest score. Her response was that we would have 2 winners-the one with the lowest score and the one with the highest. She wasn't too happy though when she realized that Cooper's score was much higher than hers and even with her own "rules" she still was not the winner. Good try Katelyn.
Zoo fun
While Katelyn was having a great time at Girl scout camp, Cooper and I took a morning trip to the zoo with Lisa, Camden, Rene, Madi, Ethan, Tonya, Emma, and Jackson. It was GORGEOUS outside that morning!
Skating fun
I took the kids roller skating for the first time this summer. Cooper went around once and seemed to really like it but then decided it was "too hard" and chose not to skate any more while we were there. Katelyn LOVED it! She struggled at first with her long legs but after the 1st hour was able to let go of the wall and skate while only falling a couple hundred times. She always jumped right back up with a smile on her face though and has been begging to go back again.
Letter from Katelyn
Katelyn is a brownie!
This is the bridging/reward ceremony for girl scouts that took place back in May.
Girl Scout Luau
Katelyn's troop went to a luau back in May where they got to take hula lessons from a native hawaiian hula girl! We had a traditional hawaiian feast that was delicious! Then there were several activities set up in different rooms that they got to rotate through. The girls had been to the Henry Doorly Zoo that day if I remember correctly on a field trip so needless to say, they were EXHAUSTED by the end of the night but they were all very good despite being tired.
PreK Zoo field trip
I had such a blast chaperoning one of Cooper's field trips at the end of the school year. It was so cute seeing him with all of his school friends.
Practice, practice, practice
Getting ready for the recital. This is the dress rehearsal for tumbling!
Misty's Bridal Shower
These pictures are from the bridal shower that my mom and I threw for my sister! It was loads of fun to plan. Mom and I made the chocolate covered strawberries and cherries the morning of the shower at Grandmas and had a great time and a lot of laughs. We had such a great turnout!
Messiah Preschool Carnival
Each year the preschool teachers at Messiah arrange a smaller carnival for all of the preschool students. The games are more geared at the younger crowd and allow the preschoolers to enjoy the carnival fun without getting trambled like they sometimes do at the annual Winter Carnival with all the kids from school. Siblings are also invited which means both of our kids get to enjoy 2 carnivals a year instead of one! Lucky, lucky kids!
Katelyns BirthDAY!
On Katelyn's actual BIRTHDAY we took her and Cooper to Champions fun center for pizza, gifts from us, and video games! They had a ball and especially enjoyed playing the the climbing structure. Daddy and I watched them the WHOLE time. We didn't even think about hitting the video games and skee ball machines ourselves while they were occupied in the play structure. Ok, so maybe we did! It was a fun time for all!
