Christmas Program Video

I know this video is a little long but Cooper's program performance follows Katelyns so don't give up on it :)

Snow Days

This week's winter storm brought us 3 snow days in a row. CRAZINESS!! The kids have had an absolute ball playing outside in the snow. I am amazed at how warm they stay all bundled up in their snow suits. Katelyn has found a new love of hot chocolate which she refers to as her "coffee." Hopefully I don't have CPS knocking at my door thinking I am giving my kids coffee on a regular basis :) Katelyn lost one of her mittens the day after I bought them for her so she had to wear her one mitten and one of Daddy's which was hilarious to watch. The kids made a snow fort with Daddy in the backyard which they also enjoyed. Today they had a huge fight about whether it was winter or fall. Katelyn was so frustrated with Cooper. She kept telling him it wasn't actually winter yet even though it looks like it and he is convinced that it "HAS TO BE WINTER" because its snowing and the leaves aren't falling anymore! I tried to get Katelyn to let it go but she wouldn't. Luckily we arrived at Gina's and the fight was postponed. So far it has not been revisited.

Cooper's Pre-K Christmas program/party

Cooper's class had their own small program and reception last weekend. It was his first program ever and was so cute. He did a great job. He was a bit reluctant to do the actions to the songs but we were just proud of him for standing up there and singing with a smile on his face. By the end he started to do the actions a little more. We were able to decorate cookies and make Christmas ornaments as a family afterwards and had a fantastic time. The kids each got a birthday cake for Jesus to frost and decorate as well.

Here are the pictures:

Messiah Christmas Program 08

The following are pictures from Katelyn's Christmas program at Messiah last week. She sang so pretty. I could actually hear her voice out in the crowd. She loves to sing. There was a reception with cookies after the program where we were able to catch up with church friends and family. She had a dance recital dress rehearsal right before the program which is why her hair is up in a bun. Many of her classmates didn't even recognize her. She looked so grown up with all of her hair back. You made Mom and Dad proud Katelyn!

Thanksgiving treeats

We had a very eventful Thanksgiving this year that kicked off with a fantastic lunch at the Neumann's followed by supper with my side of the family in Beatrice with my grandma at a local restaraunt. That night I had intentions of going to bed early to wake up early for my first ever Black Friday shopping trip with my friend Rene. I didn't get to bed though until 1 am since I was so busy planning out my shopping. I woke up bright and early at 4 am and rolled out of bed to go pick up Rene and head to Target to get in line. We ended up shopping until 11am which was exhausting yet fun. I then had time to take a 1.5 hour nap before watching the Huskers take on Colorado back at the Neumann's. Ryan's brother was in town so we had fun hanging out with them Friday night. On Sat. I was supposed to work but was stuck home sick with an upper respiratory infection and sore throat :( While I layed in bed all day Ryan and the kids had a SUPER time eating a holiday meal hosted by my mom at her house. I'm sure my almost complete lack of sleep on Thursday night did not help my immune system at all. Anyway, here are some pics of the Thanksgiving decorations and treats that I made this year:
