Club Kicks Christmas Recital

The recital took place on Sunday, Dec. 14th which if you recall was a SUPER cold day. We braved the low temps and made it to Katelyn's dance recital. They performed at the Cotner Center first for the residents and then for family. The girls were adorable and the recital inspired Katelyn to start doing ballet. So after the first of the year we are going to get her signed up.

Star City Parade

One benefit of Ryan working downtown is the ability to watch the Star City Parade from inside his building downtown. This was the first year that we went and the kids really enjoyed it. The view from Nelnet's windows was perfect and we were even able to hear the music as the bands went by. It was toasty warm. In fact, we were complaining that it was soooo hot sitting in that window sill. I am willing to bet that the people outside would have switched places in a heartbeat so please forgive me for complaining.

Messiah Christmas Program 2008

These are pictures from Messiah's annual Christmas program on Dec. 5, 2008. Katelyn did an awesome job singing and made us so proud. After the program the school had cookies and coffee in the new Family Life Center which is really nice. We decided to drive around and look at Christmas lights on the way home so, needless to say, the kids were exhausted. BTW Katelyn's class sang Away in a Manger and Praise Thee the Lord. Stay tuned for a video of her singing coming soon.

Thanksgiving Celebration #2

For Thanksgiving we took a road trip to Wichita, KS to spend Thanksgiving with Ryan's brother Greg and his wife Annette. We had an awesome time. Greg had a go-cart, 2 dune buggies, some 4 wheelers, and a little clown cart thingy! The kids and Ryan and I had a blast riding them around. We are so grateful that we were able to spend the holiday with them and their family. We had a lot of laughs and were able to catch up with them. The kids have been begging to go back and ride the dune buggies some more. Thanks again to Greg and Annette for having us. We can't wait to do it again.

1st Thanksgiving day celebration

We spent the Saturday before Thanksgiving with my side of the family celebrating Thanksgiving. We ate an awesome meal at my Grandmas apt. complex and then went over to my sisters house to play board games and hang out. We had a fantastic time! I am so thankful for our family and the closeness that we share.
