Like father, Like daughter and son! The kids enjoy the computers and often look like they are in a trance watching it.

New Camera!!

New Camera Fun!

I am so excited because my husband got me a new SLR Digital Camera for Valentines Day. I Love it! I'm having oodles of fun with it and can't wait to start taking classes to learn more. My friend and I got the same camera so that we can learn how to do fancy stuff together. The pics above were taken around the house over the last couple days. I also got to go to a Lincoln Stars Hockey game on Sat. which was so fun! I don't have pics of that to post though. I'm gearing up for a long weekend scrapbooking retreat Fri, Sat, and Sun. So, keep Ryan aka Super Dad in your prayers over the weekend.

Amazing Pizza Machine

Amazing Pizza Machine

Cooper had an exciting week. He got to go spend a couple of nights at Grandma and Grandpa Neumann's. He had a great time and surprised them when he pooped in the potty for the first time! Yay Cooper!!! Since he was gone we decided to take Katelyn on a trip up to one of her favorite spots-the Amazing Pizza Machine in Omaha. As Daddy and I were trying to hit it big winning tickets for her to help her pick a special prize she shocked us! She hit the jackpot herself and won 495 tickets. After about an hour of all of us playing the ticket dispensing games she had 750 tickets to spend and got herself a new puppy dog along with a couple of other smaller toys. It was a very late night as we shut the place down at 11pm. The kids slept all the way home and needless to say were a bit grumpy on Saturday for the big Minnie Mouse Birthday party. The party was however a HUGE success and Katelyn raked in the presents! Thanks to everyone that came and helped us to celebrate. One other quick note on a different topic. Ryan has decided to take a new job at Facts Management after a lot of soul searching and weighing pros and cons of Facts and his current place of employment, Kenexa. This coming Friday, the 15th is his last day at Kenexa. He has had a wild ride over the past 8 years there but feels it is time to move on to new endeavors! Well, that's it on the homefront for now. Have a fantastic week!

Preparing for Kindergarten

Kindergarten Roundup

Katelyn had Kindergarten round up last Saturday and had a ball. She is so excited to start "big girl" school! The roundup was a cowgirl/cowboy theme where the kids wore bandanas and colored their own horses! Katelyn would only wear her bandana around her waist though. What a stinker!

Messiah Winter Carnival

Messiah Winter Carnival

Last Friday was fun for all of us (except little Cooper who had to stay at home so he didn't get lost in the madness of school children playing all the carnival games)
Messiah hosted their annual winter carnival with fun, games, food, and prizes. As you can tell in the photos Katelyn has quite a rock climbing career ahead of her. She was scaling those walls faster than the bigger kids. We were impressed. She saw several of her preschool friends and their families. After all the carnival games she was able to cash in her winning tickets for some prizes. Good times were had by all!

Basement fun

Playtime

Along with winter weather comes indoor fun and games. The kids are loving the art easel that Cooper got from Grandma Schroeder for Christmas. Katelyn is drawing some pretty impressive artwork as you will see in the pictures. Cooper is a little slow with the markers but is very content on his own masterpieces. They have also found their toybox makes a great hiding place from mom. However the trail of toys on the floor in front of it usually tip me off as to where I can find them.

Hope you are not offended by this!

Cooper and his potty chair

January 16th was a HUGE day for our Cooper! We were eating dinner and all of a sudden he climbed down from the chair and rushed off to the bathroom. He came running down the hall a few minutes later shouting "I did it, I did it." We of course looked at each other and said "yeah right". He likes to sit on the potty chair after going in his pull up and saying he did it. However he seemed a little more excited this time and much to our surprise he had every reason. He had pottied in the toilet. Of course we are having some issues with urine spraying up instead of down. We have taught him to point his little wee-wee downwards which he is actually pretty good at. However he gets tired of holding it so once in a while he'll quickly place both knees together tightly to hold his little friend down. It is the cutest thing ever. He also likes to start and stop the flow of urine repeatedly so that he can get approval and kuddos from mom and dad in between each void. Since that day he has continued to do very well with potty training. He goes in the potty 3 to 4 times a day all on his own with little push from us. We are very thankful that he has made it so easy for us. Now if only he can figure out #2 in the potty. I promise not to post a picture of that!!

Our home

Our home

I thought that since our after Christmas letter that talked about our new home that you may like to see some pictures of the inside. I'll post outside pics when the weather is nicer and the flowers are blooming. This is the first time in a while that it was actually all clean at once so don't expect it to look quite like this if you come to visit.

Crazy Pets

Crazy Pets

These are a few pics I snapped of Mocha and Mali over the last couple of weeks. Halle likes to hide from the camera. Mali has found a new favorite lounger thanks to one of Coopers Christmas gifts.
